- Select the Work with service planning menu item.
- On the initial panel, highlight the warehouse/order/job combination you want to plan, and which has no assigned engineers (column Engineer is empty), and click Change.
- You access Work with service planning, Detail displaying the details of the service order.
- Estimated work time
- Enter the estimated time in hours needed to complete the service order job. Note: The Service planning file is automatically updated by the service order job if the Update planning field is set to YES in the Sales order type table. When a service item of type Hours is entered to an order, the estimated hours are updated to the planning.
- Propose engineers
- Tick the checkbox and click OK to automatically retrieve a list of proposed engineers. Note: If you want to enter engineers manually, tick the checkbox next to the Engineer field, and enter the engineer’s name.
- You return to the initial panel listing the engineer(s) you have just assigned below the service order. You must now assign the actual hours for the engineer. Select the assigned engineer and click Change.
- On the detail panel, complete the following field:
- Assigned work time
- Enter the actual hours you want to assign to this engineer. If the engineer is still available the engineer calendar is automatically updated with the assigned hours starting from the requested time. Note: If you want to use only normal working time (evenings and holidays are not automatically booked) the Normal hours field must be set to YES in the Sales order type table.
On this panel you can enter the estimated hours for the job, and let the system propose engineers for you. The following fields are mandatory for this task:
Select the applicable engineer(s) most suitable for the job by ticking the box adjacent to the engineer and click OK.
Click OK to confirm and exit the routine.
