DC1 Distribution allows you to mix different types of order lines per sales order. This means you can have normal order lines as well as transit and/or direct delivered BtB order lines on the same order.
The following describes how to mix different sales order lines on one order. To exemplify, you will do the following:
- enter a sales order with a sales order type for normal sales stock delivery. For this sales order you will:
- enter one BtB order line that will have a transit stock delivery
- enter one BtB order line that will have a direct delivery
- enter one sales order line that will have a normal delivery from your sales stock
Note: These two lines will create two different purchase orders. The BtB purchase order types you will use will automatically create the purchase orders immediately after exiting the sales order routine.
Do as follows:
- Repeat step 1 and 2 in Enter a Back-to-Back (BtB) sales order with an automatic creation of the purchase order but use a sales order type for normal sales stock delivery.
- On the Order lines panel, complete the mandatory Item/Assortment and Quantity fields.
- OT
- Enter the BtB purchase order type which has been defined with a transit delivery.
BtB line, transit
To enter a BtB order line which is to have a transit delivery, complete the following field:
Click OK to update the order line.
BtB line, direct
To add a new line for a BtB direct delivery, complete the same OT field but enter the BtB purchase order type which has been defined with a direct delivery. This means the purchase order created for this line will be delivered directly to the customer.
Click OK to update the order line.
Normal SO line
To add a new line for a normal sales stock delivery (using the same order type as indicated on the header of the panel), leave the OT field blank. Instead complete the mandatory information as required.
Click OK to update the order line.
The Order lines panel will now display the three sales order lines.
Under the Con column header a specified panel value denotes the connection to the order type. For this example a T is displayed for the Transit order and a D for the Direct order.
Result
The system creates two purchase orders for the BtB order lines; one for the item with a transit stock delivery and one for the item with a direct delivery.
